Ron found a great nature trail this morning while walking Jewel. He got some great pictures of the flowers and butterflies.

Note the No Smoking Sign – It’s the first of its kind we have seen.

We continue our trek homeward with still nothing of interest to stop for. There are lots of cops on the roads making a lot of money for their respective states on this holiday weekend.IMG_4807

We passed through three time zones in the last three days and last night we entered the final – Eastern Time. It is getting darker much earlier and we both believe that we really are charged by solar power. With the longer days and sunshine we had tremendous energy – now we tire out much earlier.

We stopped at a rest area in Indiana and planned on spending the night. I was making dinner when the generator stopped running. We had what we thought was over ¼ tank if gas but I guess not. The generator won’t run at ¼ tank. Fortunately there was gas available and at $2.49 per gallon, not a bad price, but Ron decided to head down the road instead.

At the next rest area 29 miles down the road there was a Mobile Station – not BP and the price was $2.99 a gallon a full 50 cents more per gallon. What a rip off. Ron put in $50.00 worth and we will look for more reasonable gas tomorrow.

r0n NOTE: Same State Same Toll Road, GO FIGURE?

See the difference in the service area in Indiana. Makes you want to turn around and head west again.IMG_4832
